W gliwickim CH Forum zima nie ostudziła gorących serc. W niedzielę okazali je goście centrum oraz partnerzy Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy. Wspólnymi siłami udało się pobić wynik ubiegłorocznej kwesty i uzbierać blisko 21 000 zł.
Ogromna w tym zasługa sporej grupy wolontariuszy ze sztabu gliwickiego oraz studentów medycyny (IFMSA), kwestujących przy okazji darmowych badań i akcji profilaktycznych. To m.in. dzięki nim puszki szybko zapełniały się po same brzegi.
W osiągnięciu imponującego wyniku dopomogła sprzedaż przygotowanych przez Forum okolicznościowych gadżetów: czekoladowych sztabek złota, breloków i świeczek zapachowych z logo Orkiestry. Dodatkowo dyrekcja centrum przekazała na rzecz WOŚP czynsz z comiesięcznego Jarmarku Zdrowia, który w weekend odbywał się w Forum.
Sporo pieniędzy zebrano podczas tradycyjnej licytacji przedmiotów podarowanych m.in. przez lokalny Sztab WOŚP, najemców CH Forum, uczniów i pedagogów ZSOS Nr 6 w Gliwicach oraz wystawców wspomnianego jarmarku. Oprócz fantów Orkiestry (koszulka, kubek, kalendarze), były wśród nich takie atrakcje, jak: rejs sportową motorówką, kupony do ekskluzywnego SPA, makieta domu wykonana w areszcie śledczym, czerwone lukrowane serca z piernika, zestawy markowej bielizny czy zestawy naturalnej żywności.

Waking up at dawn to beat the crowds felt like pure torture when the alarm went off, but having that whole plaza to ourselves for thirty minutes was completely worth it. We ended up grabbing warm pastries from a bakery that was just opening and just watched the city wake up. Easily one of my favorite memories from that entire trip!
